On 17 July 2025, the Board of Directors of the Caisse de Retraite du Personnel Navigant Professionnel de l’Aéronautique Civile (CRPNPAC – pension fund for professional civil aviation flight crew), meeting in extraordinary session, decided to appoint Sandrine Johnson as Chief Executive Officer of the CRPN.
On 1st August 2025, she will take over from Claude Grandfils, who has opted to take up a new professional challenge.
Aged 47 and holding a postgraduate degree (Diplôme d’Études Approfondies) in Employment Law obtained from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Ms Johnson has been a member of the Senior Management team for seven years. She joined CRPNPAC after a long career in air transport and other economic sectors, including real estate.
Sandrine Johnson is a renowned specialist in the application of employment law to flight crews, and has in-depth knowledge of the employment issues facing the airline industry.
Having already served as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Sandrine Johnson’s appointment as CEO is also based on her expertise, in-depth knowledge of our institution and her involvement in the major strategic projects of the past few years, and will enable CRPNPAC to pursue its publicinterest mission for the benefit of its members and their employers with all due rigour.

About CRPNPAC
Created in 1952, the Caisse de Retraite du Personnel Navigant Professionnel de l’Aéronautique Civile manages the independent, supplementary and legally compulsory pension scheme for professional flight crews in the civil aviation sector.
This scheme, covering a population of around 34,500 active members and 24,000 pension holders, in addition to a network of 450 employers, is designed to take account of the unique characteristics of the flight crew profession. It is administered by a joint governance body comprising representatives of employers and employees in the aviation sector.
